Spicy Guacamole Burgers

Dan got the idea to make these burgers a few years ago when he had a house and a grill. Last summer, we were porchless and therefore didn't grill out much. But this summer, we have a new Weber and are ready to go!

Honestly you can do a lot with this recipe, so feel free to add your own marinades or ingredients to the guacamole.

Ingredients
Burgers
Turkey or ground beef for burgers
Packet of dry spicy ranch dressing
dressings or condiments you like for marinade
Pepper jack cheese
buns
lettuce
tomatoes

Guacamole
3 ripe avocados
2 garlic cloves peeled
1 1/2 jalapeno peppers cored seeded and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
3Tbs fresh lime juice
3/4 tsp ground cumin
salt and pepper to taste
chopped tomatoes
chopped onion
fresh cilantro

Directions-
Patty and marinate meat. Dan added a few extra ingredients so I can't tell you exactly how we made these, but basically we used the dry spicy ranch, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, and worcestershire sauce and let them sit for about a half an hour.

In the meantime get your grill lit up and ready to go.

Place garlic and jalapeno peppers in processor. Pulse. Add avocados, lime juice, and cumin. Pulse. Then process until smooth. Using a spatula transfer to a serving bowl. Add chopped onion, tomato, and cilantro. Mix with spoon. Taste. Add salt and pepper if necessary. Add sriracha sauce if you want an extra kick.

We recently received a food processor as a wedding gift and have been using it to make guacamole. But we have used this recipe without the processor before. Basically just stir and mash it together. Also, finely chop your vegetables.

Grill hamburgers, add cheese to melt before finished. Top with guacamole, lettuce and tomato!

Enjoy!

This is a turkey burger in case you were wondering why the meat isn't brown. We have been eating turkey meat all summer and have been pleasantly surprised how great it tastes!

Love burgers too! Especially when they are stuffed. This weekend I am making my Jerky Turkey burger. Spicy, low calorie and delicious.
